Summary

In several fields of research at Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University very compute intensive computer applications are used, and partially also developed. To get answers to the underlying research questions in a reasonable period of time, techniques and computers of High Performance Computing (HPC) must be used. With the use of a high-performance parallel cluster computer, that includes special hardware compute accelerators, we can start to work on new research topics that we were not ably to work on before. Such research topics include the optimization and steering of ultra-light vehicles, learning of error corrective models for autonomous systems and molecular simulations.
